Irwin, the stuff on the plate is his main staple: ground turkey, some beef liver and a smidgeon of cod liver oil. Highlands, you can get one from a guy named Bobby Hill. Here is his website: http://www.varnyard-herps-inc.com/I purchased mine from him almost a year ago. Right now he has hatchlings available. ...JP

Take a trip to Big Pine in the Florida Keys and you can probably bag a free iguana. Just don't let her get a Monitor by mistake.

Nope, I don't wonder what he'd taste like. In South America they refer to those jumbo green Iguanas as "chicken of the tree" go get you some next hard freeze. I hear they drop from the trees when it reaches 40F. How far are you from the Everglades Scott? ...JP

I can make it to the "Glades" in about 3 hrs (depending on how the Po-Po are ) but Brendhan's a lot closer. Maybe he'd ship us some for Schawee's little party? You know the old time Florida Crackers called Heron "Swamp Chicken". I'm told it really doesn't taste like ckicken tho Scott

Heron and any fish eaters taste pretty nasty, oily. Give me some wood ducks or better yet a park mallard any day of the week.
