Annette and I had the chance to meet this evening in New Orleans. She and her husband are in town until tomorrow morning. I had a small window with my crazy schedule for a brief encounter.

I picked her up at the Marriot hotel where they were staying and we did coffee and dropped by a little Italian deli I frequent.

We will try if possible to get together one more time before she leaves.

I tried to get some pictures but she doesn't like being photoed for fear her spirit will be taken away. You just have to respect that, or else, I guess.  Wink

We had a very pleasant visit. Its always nice meeting fellow beemaster members and meeting Annette was no acception. I sure enjoyed our time Annette, you are truly a gem.

Hey, she even gave me a red umbrella folks! Pictures to follow (of me holding it) I promise.

Met some people of the Navajo tribe in Arizona that had the same belief about spirits and photos, at the time, the adults wouldn't allow it but the kids wanted a quarter per picture... respect was given to both, just a memory of trip that stands out.

Ha! Ha! JP. That is very funny about the spirit thing. You know I just didn't want the photo because I am so darn vain.

Seriously though, JP picked me up at my hotel and showed me a very good time for the short period we had together. JP is everything I expected, just a wonderful kind and loving man. Also I got to meet his wife who joined us for dinner one night. What an absolute doll, a real upbeat, positive women with a great sense of humor.

I was a horrible beekeeper though and did not go out with JP on any bee related calls even though he invited me to go along.  I just wasn't in the mood to get down and dirty. JP understood although he tried to tempt me a couple of times.

I did leave JP with my most precious possession and maybe he will post a photo of it.

Our visit was wayyyy too short, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Next time I hope to meet her husband and perhaps we can do a couples thing. I thought you were a sweet woman Annette by our phone conversations and what and how you have posted on this site but meeting you in person sealed the deal for me. You are my kind of people Annette.

Mike, I will take good care of it and will hopefully be giving it back to her at Bud's next year, fingers crossed.
