New Beekeepers in Waco, TX

I got my Aunt Brenda a top-bar bee hive, lessons and a package of bees for Christmas (truly, what to give the woman who has everything...)
We got our bees a couple of weeks ago and have been struggling with bee drama ever since. Find me in the other forums if BeeWeaver can't tell me what's going on.
(drama info: the queen was kicked out/left the brand new hive a day or so after she got out of her box. That happened twice. We kept putting her back and she's still there today, but I haven't seen any eggs anywhere...)

Welcome to the forum. I have only had one queen, that I know of, leave a hive and she came back. It is now a good hive. I would give her a few more days. If she is still in the hive she is probably okay.

Cheryl, welcome to our forum, wonderful you found us. What a great gift to give to your Aunt, that was pretty neat idea. Stick around, we love new members and this will be a place to tell your stories, tales and experiences, and make some new friends. Soon you will find out how deeply you all will be held beneath the spell of that beautiful honeybee. Have that most beautiful and awesome day, life and health. Cindi
