Well as we are one step closer to government takeover of healthcare i feel my insides wrenching.  I think of the idea that if i don't pay Pelosi has promised she will send people to jail.  I think of how things that people used to have a choice on are now so called rights that we have no choice on.  Well i'm gonna have to stop here before i start ranting and getting off topic.  I hope i'm wrong but my gut tells me i'm right.

They have found a path with no resistance to pass Cap and Trade, Amnesty, the total dismantling of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They will do this before they are voted out.

they are not done.  single payer is the goal.  how quickly they get there depends on how quickly we can get these idiots out and keep them out.  unfortunately, as our last election showed, we have short memories.

the next major thing they will tackle is immigration "reform".  they need to recoup some of the votes they have lost.

I guess drawing this comparison is kinda extreme but it makes you wonder what the Jews thought when Hitler came to power in Germany.  Cause we all know he didn't start killing them and rounding them up all at once.  He started step by step to impose socialism and control on the people.  Seems like healthcare is the first step to more power and more control.  We don't have free markets anymore cause the government is buying up or taking over everything.  When is enough going to be enough and the people decide that the feds are useless.  They only exist to protect us from foreign threats and to help with interstate crimes.  How does healthcare or any of the literally thousands of mistakes fall under that catagory?  I'm just shocked to think that capitalism has worked great yet at times imperfect for so long we don't just walk away from it we're running from it.

yes, Venezuela and Argentina.  Argentina was a booming capitalist society pre ww2.  it was one of the top countries for wealth and industry.  it was ruined by socialism and the attending corruption.

the thing about hitler is that everyone knew what he believed.  they just didn't think that he could implement his beliefs.  it couldn't happen to them.  if you remove what happened with the jews and just look at the policy implementation it was not so different from what is happening here.  the nazi party was a socialist party.  by the time they had implemented all of the social welfare programs, including fully implementing national health care, they people didn't really care as long as they had their stuff.

Germany started with their social welfare programs in the late 1800's.  it took a couple of generations for the people to be come totally dependent on the state.  they started with small things like SSI, extended unemployment, and covering medical. by the 30's the unions ran the country and they truly had universal health care.

england started their social welfare system in the early 1900's.  now it's fully implemented and the people don't bother to vote as long as nothing is threatening their free stuff.  let someone talk about reforming the system and people turn out on the streets.

the riots in greece are about "benefits".  the country is broke, but the people want their free  stuff.

How soon people forget the warning that a government big enough to take care of everything you should be doing for yourself is big enough to take away everything you own.
However, this may solve people immigrating here. As they dim that shining light of freedom in the greatest nation on earth, people will be more willing to stay in their own lands.
Since the elections, they have taken over banks, started dictating corporations to fire executives, taken over one large corporation and now trying to dictate one sixth of our economy. They have spent more money in the past year than all previous spending period.
People better awaken soon, this has been just over a year.

I wish my grandchildren could have grown up in the same country that I did!  Why are we allowing this and what can we do?  Write your congressman?  Yeah and waist the paper?  With the great internet and media it seems that the people could present a voice.  And if we are not heard?  then what ever happened to impeachment.  start at the top and work down,  those that are elected by the people are suposed to listen to the people when they choose not to we as a whole should choose to un=elect them!  Soon I would think people in government would start to listen.

We can only hope this awakens enough people to throw the Bums out. I think come next January,Congress will look a lot different.
I only hope we can get people in that truly desire a less intrusive and smaller government.A government that manages to get nothing done is better than one doing what the majority of the people have told them not to.
Grid lock is good for America. Lets  pass laws that make lawmakers spend more time at home with their constituents and less time screwing stuff up in Washington.
When these clowns resort to passing bills of this magnitude on Christmas eve and on a Sunday night when a lot less people are watching, they have no shame whatsoever.Lets shine the light on every move these butt heads make.Maybe we can make the cockroaches scurry away.

I think that most of the people against it are total hypocrites. My father will complain about it being socialism, and then let Medicare pay for his doctor’s visit. He’s on Social Security too!!! Heck, my friend even complained about it to me and he’s on unemployment!  Crazy.  It’s all socialism.

I’m not pointing any fingers here, but if you collect an unemployment check, or are on Social Security or Medicare, you should be the last ones yelling socialism.

By the way, I’m against it.  I just find it amusing looking at all the hypocrites out there.

I am collecting none of the above. I stand by what I wrote.I was off work for over a month last year for a medical procedure. I paid out of my oown pocket. There was no disability pay. I did without some of the things I otherwise had at that time.

It's kinda funny how things work out. Back in 1999 or so we had a little camp out for about 200 of our biker friends during the Daytona Bike Week. The county somehow got word and (since they weren't getting any $ for this) decided we were running an illegal campground. Keep in mind that this was a private party...no camping fees...no vendors...nothing expected from anybody at all. In the end we were fined $1,000/day for the entire 10 day event (yepp 10,000 in all). Everyone tossed whatever cash they had into a pot and we eventually came up with the fine money.

This whole fiasco led to the formation of B.F.F.A.R. (bikers for first amendment rights...specifically the right to peaceable assembly) which has really blossomed. I plan on attending a "Tea Party" event soon that has 50,000 God fearin'-Country lovin' bikers all riled up about this new heath care debacle.

No, we won't be heard yet, but if enough of these events take place over enough of the country, then someone has got to sit up and listen.

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. I can say whole heartedly i have never taken a red cent from the government unemployment or otherwise.  I beleave to stand on my own two feet and claw my way to the top is the only way.  I'll probably buy some stupid little health insurance plan here in the future just to avoid jail.  I thought we already fought and won our independance from a opressive government.  I could be wrong but it seems like the 4th of July is appearently more about fireworks then it is remembering what that day means to all americans.

you point out the very problem with welfare programs.  once people are getting stuff for free (they think) they are happy to keep it.  in fact, they will do anything to keep it including screwing future generations or anyone who gets in their way.

remember when bush tried to get some healthcare and SSI reforms in?  the left riled up the seniors and the seniors fought it off.  never mind that SSI is broke and the kids are paying into a system that they will probably never draw out of.   never mind that medicare is a big black hole.

this time, there were to many dems in power and they were able to override even the objections of the seniors.  in the future, all these programs will be expanded without protest.  so many people will be on the government dole that there will be no one to object.
