Anyone with old equipment you're interested in selling?

Hey Everybody,

I know there is the trading post on here but it focuses mainly on the US members... i was just wondering if any Australian members have any equipment they'd be interested in selling? particularly looking for smokers, protective clothing, capping knives etc

Just contacted the guy whose on there at the moment - only thing left is boxes and frames... :'(

There was one a few months ago. A guy who started keeping 6 months earlier only to find he was allergic (the hard way) and had to give it up.

Out of interest, what are reasonable prices to pay secondhand for:

- 8 frame full depth hive bodies
- 8 frame half depth hive bodies
- base
- lid
- half depth frames with fully drawn out comb
- full depth fully plastic frames

There's a guy here at work who used to keep bees. He has a place in Gipsland somewhere where he kept them and is looking to offload his equipment (no bees).

Not sure what he has as his reply is "the whole kit and caboodle". Then he wants me to start talking price, without knowing what he has!   

He said he would take some picks next time he was down there. That was a few weeks ago and I'm still waiting.

If I ever get an inventory, maybe we could pick over the carcass together and see what we each need/want.
