I am thinking about placing add in one of our local papers for established hive, anyone got any idea as to what price I would be looking at, last hive I bought was way back in the 80s, paid $80 in those days. [The area is central Queensland]
Cheers Lek.

Why dont you talk with one of the local beeks about getting a nuc off him/her? You would still have to buy the box and frames but you could probably do it for around $120 +_ a bit I would think. Last nuc I bought (this time last year) was a 5 framer and I paid 60 bucks for it
