ahhhh  thank you!!   :-D
One could not learn history from architecture any more than one could learn it from books. Statues, inscriptions, memorial stones, the names of streets ? anything that might throw light upon the past had been systematically altered. (1.8.85)

I was standing beside the pumpkins yesterday watching the Italian girls doing their stuff when I saw a bee that I had never seen before. I didn't have my phone on me or I would have taken a quick snap but trolling around the internet I'm pretty sure that it was a blue banded bee.

I have what I am pretty sure is a blue banded bee that likes to visit my garden too.
I should try and take a photo of it one day......
