Well Annette my dear, you sure know how to lay it on thick! And I greatly appreciate the kind words, you got me ferklempt! Might I say you are a real joy and we are all privledged to have you as a member of this forum. All our ladies are quite wonderful, just wanted to say. I had a pretty great day today. My Mom & I had lunch and did a little Christmas shopping together. One unfortunate is that it rained all day & is still raining, so I was unable to work on my chicken coop, will do that as soon as things clear up. My wife and I will do a birthday dinner this weekend as its just too nasty to leave the house tonight. My Dad is working on the movie Brother's Keeper starring Patricia Clarkson. She is the actress who played the warden's sick wife in The Green Mile. Here she is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0165101/My Dad called while on the set (He's a boom operator) and wished me a "happy birthday" then said, "someone wants to wish you a happy birthday" & that was Ms Clarkson. She actually sang me happy birthday, have to admit it was a little (ok, alot!) surreal. Anyway, thanks everyone for the kind wishes, it meant alot. ...JP

WOW Jp! I never have celebrities wish me a happy birthday much less sing to me. You are one lucky guy. Bummer that its raining but its good that you still got out to spend some time with your mom, plus now you get to stretch your birthday all the way into the weekend. Glad you are having a good one.

Hey Nat, I call it my birthday month! Today was a nice day, windy, cooler, dry. Worked on the coop a bunch, made it deeper. Have to finish exterior & redo roof tomorrow. Got to see the before, during and after, egg laying shannanigans of my two laying hens. Was too funny! At one point Vera's body looked like a beach ball, all round, don't know quite how she did that, but she was this very round blob, pushing away to get that egg out. Afterwards she had to tell the entire world that she indeed layed and how proud she was! The Saints play the cowboys tomorrow night at 7:15 CST going for 14-0 woo hoo!!!! ...JP

Isn't it funny how the chickens make the big announcement when they lay an egg, sometimes the roosters do it too. Glad you had some good coop building weather today. Enjoy your weekend.

My chickens entertain the daylights out of me Nat! Sometimes I swear they sound like ducks quacking.
Thanks for the wishes.
