Want to have some fun this CHRISTMAS? Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD this year. As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world..
Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it. Maybe something about Jesus...
Here's the address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's not the Christian way, you know.)
ACLU 125 Broad Street 18th Floor New York , NY 10004
or (Perhaps both)
ACLU 915 15th Street N.W. Washington, D.C. 20005
And pass this on to your email lists. We really want to communicate with the ACLU! They really DESERVE us!!

"Nay, it [this constitution of government] must perish, if there be not that vital spirit in the people, which alone can nourish, sustain, and direct all its movements. It is in vain, that statesmen shall form plans of government, in which the beauty and harmony of a republic shall be embodied in visible order, shall be built up on solid substructions, and adorned by every useful ornament, if the inhabitants suffer the silent power of time to dilapidate its walls, or crumble its massy supporters into dust; if the assaults from without are never resisted, and the rottenness and mining from within are never guarded against. Who can preserve the rights and liberties of the people, when they shall be abandoned by themselves? Who shall keep watch in the temple, when the watchmen sleep at their posts? Who shall call upon the people to redeem their possessions, and revive the republic, when their own hands have deliberately and corruptly surrendered them to the oppressor, and have built the prisons, or dug the graves of their own friends?
– Justice Joseph Story, "Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States," Volume II, Chapter XIII: Mode of Passing Laws, Sections 900-901, pp. 364 (1833)

I went to Walgreen's to get my mother a birthday card over the weekend and thought of this thread. I went to go buy a couple of cheap Christmas cards to send to the aclu. I couldn't find any religious cards. all the cards said something like happy holidays or seasons greeting. the only cards that mentioned merry Christmas was directed to and individual, ex mom, dad, sister in law, no generic cards. Seems the aclu has beaten me to the punch
