I am so happy for this downtime right now!!!

I hate to say this, but I am so glad I do not have to do anything with the bees right now. I really look forward to this downtime come each winter. Truly this was my best ever year taking care of them confidence wise, but still a very hard job for me physically and it truly takes me twice as long to do something a strong man or women can do.

What really got to me this fall was all the feeding I had to do.  They did not make enough honey for themselves this year and I had to feed, feed, feed for weeks on end. Constantly shlepping those heavy jugs of syrup back and forth.

Anyway, I get to watch them now on warmer days just flying about, but I do not have to think about doing anything until about January when I will take a peek under the covers on a warm day to make sure they have what to eat for the rest of the winter.

Anyone else feel the same way???
