Struth, Mick! I started the year with zip.. lost out in a tussel with the shb
Bought a nuc and caught some swarms.. I was going to limit it to 5 but I cant help myself..now I have 8 (includes 3 nucs) from swarmsand have so much of the golden stuff in drums that I dont know what to do with it. I think I might combine the nucs and let the queens fight it out

Our magic number seems to be 20. We gain a few, sell a few, then gain again. One TBH, two Long Hives, seventeen Langs, and a Nuc.

1 and 1/2 - started last May with a package, and did a trap out in July. Fingers crossed.

Started the year with 1 and now have 7. Will reduce to 4 or 5. Way too many bees in the backyard.

Well I bought six and they swarmed and I now have 11. I have just sold some and will sell some more soon I think the magic number for me to keep will be 3. Just enough for fun and some real good honey.
Cheers Steve

55 right now.
The goal for this year is sixty - we should be there with a couple to spare already, but it's been a right sod of a spring down here. If we stay where we are that'll be ok - probably time to concentrate on building em up for the crop rather than splitting any more at this point.
