It would be Friday morning your time Irwin, You will be most welcome to join in. I am not sure what time zone you are in but a quick estimate it would be somewhere around 2 to 3 AM your way. I will do more research and follow up.

Two sleeps until Ventrilo a la Oz, Micko.
If you still have the Dreaded Lurgy, Irwin, you'll probably be up whatever time it is in your time zone. What is your time zone compared with eastern standard time, Irwin?

1/2 a sleep until Ventrilo a la Oz.
No one has ideas for theme music? I can only think of two songs combining bees and aussieness.
One is I must have good terbaccy when I smoke. The last verse is: Yes I was talking to that swaggy yesterday And what he told me I’ll remember clear Trampin’ out there with the breeze happy as the birds and bees And I reckon that he has the right idea
The other is Way out where the white faced cattle roam I love the scent of the blue gum trees Blowin' in the evening breeze Where the bees are building honeycomb I love to drink from the rippling stream By the old bark hut where the campfires gleam Way out where the white faced cattle roam.

Hey Geoff, I am going to try to get on this evening foggy memory permitting. I have just installed ventrilo. Is there anything I have to know or do before I log on?

Dont forget Agitator, 8 PM Australian ESST tonight.
Hope to catch everyone else, unfortunately about 4 AM East Coast and 1 Am West Coast US times.
What about some John Williamson tunes as a theme Lone. You know like Home Amongst The Gum Trees.
I was going to put up a link to that Kevin but thought better of it.
Slicko you should at least have the text ability up and if there is a problem with voice we may be able to get you through it.

There are no bees in your song, Yinnar..although there is vegemite on toast.
Slicko, you might need a universal translator so the mexicans comprehend.

Great to hear you in there Irwin. The crowd increased by 40% last night with only the Agitator playing truant. This is starting to look like a school teachers past time. Present were Long john, Irwin, Bud, jim134, Lone, SlickMick and yours truly. Just remarkable that these States people were able to join us at ungodly hours their time. Not a lot of bee talk but great music and life style discussions. Special welcome to SlickMick making it onto Ventrilo for the first time and adding another character in this part of the forum. Topic of note was whether Agitator Mick was out stocking up tinnies for Operation Evil bleep in the beeyard today. Some people have all the fun and the fringe benefits.

I reckon Agitator forgot to come, to avoid the ribbing!
Notably absent also was the wild colonial boy, koala john. Hopefully you haven't fallen off your ladder, john! Also missing were other australian women beekeepers. Even kathy must have been sound asleep. Thanks again to all who defied their internal body clocks to be there.

Thanks everyone for the great session last Friday, and welcome to Meadlover who actually managed to work ventrilo on a Mac.
I reckon we'll postpone Ventrilo a la Oz this Friday, Christmas Day, unless anyone has objections?
Merry Christmas.
Luke 2:11 This very day in David's town your Saviour was born — Christ the Lord! 12 And this is what will prove it to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great army of heaven's angels appeared with the angel, singing praises to God: 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom he is pleased!”

All welcome to the first Ventrilo a la Oz for 2010, this Friday, 8pm Yinnar Time. You can see the new year in, then see ventrilo in!
This is one of the few dates for the year where it is not ambiguous as to whether it is the day or the month first, 01/01/2010.
BYO food, picnic tables and any other comforts, and come and "hive" fun!

This is your weekly Ventrilo A La Oz Reminder Notice
All Aussies, Aussie-wannabees, anyone who has ever tried vegemite (that includes Nettie), those who can say g'day or want to learn how to, anyone who says "throw another shrimp on the barbie" in normal conversation, any insomniacs, and any others who don't fit into those categories, please come at 8pm YT for some friendly conversation, poetry, and most of all, warm aussie weather.
I hope all the Aussies who've tried it out before can come again for more fun and laughter. We'd love to hear progress reports on ML's cutouts, Slicko's swarms and Koala's tree-top hives!
