i don't even know what to say to this
« on: October 17, 2009, 12:46:57 PM »
.....The greatest changes occur in their country without their cooperation. They are not even aware of precisely what has taken place. They suspect it; they have heard of the event by chance. More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

I'm moving to Canada.

While I think they are still all nutters, but if I close my eyes while listening, it does sound like "Oh God" (with a little reverb sounding like a third sylable).  When I read the words, then it sounds more like "Obama"...

In my neighborhood, we're thinking about building a fort and defending it to the last.   :jerry: We thought we would simply build a wall around the neighborhood and create a self-sufficient eco-pod.  Sounds like we might want to get started real soon.  Anyone want to join us???  :camp:

Lenape13, can I come, smiling?  It is a long ways away to there, but I would surely love to live in a place like that, hee, hee.  I'm not exaggerating, but I am kidding about going there, it is a good idea for surely.  Have that great and most awesomely wonderful and beautiful day, health.  Cindi

Sure, come on down, we have plenty of room!  Actually, except for the wall, we already have a strong neighborhood.  Everyone helps and we work as a group on major projects, especially when it comes to things for the kids.  We had some trouble with things being stolen about a year ago, but we all pulled together and some of us took to patrolling the area at different times of the day and night and kept an eye on things.  Word spread quickly and the trouble ended as quickly as it started.

It gives me the creeps, right to my core.
What is worse I think I saw Irwin in that crowd. :-D
Seriously though, it is a very scary thing. How do people get a mindset like that?

Oh Natalie, that made me laugh, cringe, whatever.  I conjured up many things, in my mind's eye.  Now we got another dude to tease, smiling.  These things that make our world go 'round and 'round and 'round, I'm back, let's have some fun, we been missing' that kind of stuff, you, me and the girls (and you know girls, who I mean  8-) ;) :) :) :).  We be strong in numbers.  Beautiful days, to love, live, ride, what 'er we be doin'....deepest thoughts an' regards, friend, Cindi, with the most deepest wishes of health for us all.
