http://www.journeythroughfire.blogspot.com/This young man was accidently electrocuted at our beach. He though he was stomping out a firework, and preventing a fire, but it was a downed line! Just over a week. His family is keeping a blog, and are asking for prayers. I thought of all you fine people, and know there is a lot of healing energy and kind folks...so have at it, let's give this kid a miracle!

The news of the last couple of days has been very promising.
Having worked in electricity and a hospital, I know a b fair bit about electrical burns. Terrible damage is done under to tissue and organs and time is the only way of determining the damage.
The poor bugger has so far escaped infection it seems. Thats an amazing tribute to the care he is getting and the cleanliness of the hospital and staff. Its almost impossible to avoid it in his case. HE IS YOUNG AND OBVIOUSLY A FIGHTER. The fact that he knows what happened to him will help him fight like a terrier.
I sucked up a lot of poison the other night ala Green Mile style, I reckon hes going to make it.

Well who said miracles dont happen? Between me sucking out the poison and Australias soon to be Saint Mary McKillop ticking off another act of kindness, the boy is up and about. Walking, talking and on the road to recovery. I really think his family was expecting a lesser outcome. They are an interesting bunch and deserve a break.
Hes going to have some heavy duty scars and an interesting looking bonce for the rest of his life thats for sure.
Hardest thing will be to keep a young bloke in the prime of his life sedate for 12 months or so.

Well there you go, he will be home on Friday. Missing a decent part of his skull, heel, and a dodgy thumb, but otherwise unscathed. Seems to have all his marbles intact and just has to take it easy and face a heap more operations to rebuild his scone WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY!
Pretty good result all around. A lucky boy but a good fighter.
