This may get me in trouble
« on: August 25, 2009, 11:00:55 AM »

>>        Now you know!!!
>>
>>   The year is 1947
>> Some of you will recall that on July 8, 1947, a little over 60 years
>> ago, witnesses claim that an unidentified flying object (UFO) with
>> five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and mule ranch just outside
>> Roswell, New Mexico.  This is a well known incident that many say has
>> long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and other federal agencies
>> and organizations.
>> However, what you may NOT know is that in the month of April 1948,
>> nine months after that historic day, the following people were born:
>> Albert A. Gore, Jr.
>> Hillary Rodham
>> John F. Kerry
>> William J. Clinton
>> Howard Dean
>> Nancy Pelosi
>> Dianne Feinstein
>> Charles E. Schumer
>> Barbara Boxer
>> See what happens when aliens breed with sheep and jackasses?
>> I certainly hope this bit of information clears up a lot of things
>> for you.
>> No wonder they support the bill to help illegal aliens!

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

One could not learn history from architecture any more than one could learn it from books. Statues, inscriptions, memorial stones, the names of streets ? anything that might throw light upon the past had been systematically altered. (1.8.85)

Made me laugh - but also research...  Your favorite President was actually born a bit earlier: August 19, 1946.  Sorry to spoil the party.  Still a very good joke.
