K since i have a solid 5 months of experiance under my built i have made up my mind to expand the operation and go commercial lol
and thats why i need to start doing swarm collecting to expand my operation do u guys/gals have any detailed designs so that i can build a bee
vacuum i searched for it on here and there are pictures but no measurments and no real designs that i can use
so if u can please post the or sketch one out on a napkin and scan it lol or anythingwith a detailed pic that would be wonderful

I've seen a couple or three designs that folks have made. The two box seems most popular, with the removable inner box so large amounts of bees can be housed. Plans for one of these can be found here in the list on the left.

There are other styles that really deserve looking at though. I have not yet worked a nest that needed more than one box, and use the vac so seldom that a lighter single box style might be better suited for my use.

I made mine using robo's plans, but did make it simple. Buy a medium or deep super, unassembled. Using a table or arm saw, rip it in half. Use one half for the top and one half for the bottom, no measurements needed. The rest is drilling some holes and installing the bottom board and the top screen. It will fit that hive body, in the middle, perfectly.

Here's the one I use. You can start with a super or use 1X6 to make one. Same dimensions as a super. Height doesn't matter.
