Bearded dragons are very popular pets and their owners love taking them on extended trips, carrying them around in little sacks and such. I have two bearded dragons BTW, 1 male, 1 female. I like my male, he is tough! My wife likes the female because she is dainty.  ...JP |

Just returned from a trip to Carmel this weekend. The whole drive down there were signs for a "reptile show and sale" at the San Jose Convention center. My husband and I were talking about you and thought you would probably enjoy that show. Heck, even I would enjoy seeing that show after being introduced to them by you. Kiss the baby for me  |

You dang right I would have enjoyed the show, love reptile shows! What or where is Carmel?
Been busy building my tegu a new enclosure, will post pics when its done. He's already outgrown the 20 gallon long aquarium.

Annette I have a cousin who lives in Carmel next door to Robert Redfords daughter . We talk by phone but, I am not interested in going back to Ca. since leaving there in 67. I spent 2 years out here in mid sixites. Life style was too fast for this ole redneck country boy. Have a good day.

Yes, I guess it must be slower where you live now. I live in the Northern part of the State and Placerville is a nice little cowboy town. Friendly people and slower pace than the cities.
Carmel was extravagant, but fun to look at and enjoy once in a while.
And JP your beauregard can run around there and eat up all the little doggies that roam around there. Carmel is a doggie friendly town, meaning doggies are everywhere you look. All pedigrees I noticed. Yep the reptile would have a ball over there.

cindi, i'll come help you. i am going to the local archery place to see about getting into the sport. think i can come across the border with a bow and arrows?? wasn't clint the mayor of Carmel? as i recall the story, he got ticked off by the ADA requirements and government crap in general, and didn't run again. good for us....he has made some GREAT movies since retiring from politics! |

Yes Clint Eastwood was the mayor of Carmel sometime back in the 80's I believe. My uncle and Aunt bought property in Carmel in the 30's because it was a beautiful place. I travel down Hwy. 1 in Ca. thru Carmel at my aunts edging .It is indeed a beautiful setting along the coastline. They wanted me to know where the property was but didn't will it to me, I suppose because I showed no interest living in Califorina.

We'll just have to persuade them to come over to "our" side. I went on a chicken hunt with bow and arrow in Baton Rouge yrs ago. It was a place that held pig hunts. One of my friends talked me into doing it, brought my recurve bow. It was the craziest thing ever, you would pile your chickens up somewhere, anywhere and the "supposed" wild pigs would steal your chickens. The white chickens were worth 1 pt, colored ones were 3 pts, and they had guinea hens that were virtually impossible to get near to that were worth 10 points. We came in second place. The winners got to take a pig each. Sorry to all the vegetarians who may read about this "chicken massacre". ...JP |
