Very seldom. Best to add a frame of good eggs and let them raise one. May take three or more frames, one weekly.

Or do a shake out.

If you have more than one hive, take the laying worker 50 feet in front of the other and shake or brush all the bees onto the ground. Put the hive in the house, garage, or other inaccessible place. The bees will then take up with the queen right hive or hives, without fighting.

just that.  they will join other hives.  it works like swapping hive locations.  workers are welcome.

Best way to get it Queen right is to use brood AND a Queen cell-If you have more than one hive you can use the demmare
technique to raise cells from it-then harvest the cell with as much brood as the donor hive can afford -and you will hopefully be able to plug a four frame nuc with cell into the problem hive -and you will be on your way-very little a four frame nuc cant fix  cheesy cool  http://website.lineone.net/~dave.cushman/demaree.html
