I read this was a major nectar source ,has anyone sowed any around there property?I know where some was growing about half a mile from my house beside the road and it was covered in honeybees. I dont know if it was mine but would mine fly that far?

Yes they will fly that far.  This seems to be a banner year for white, yellow and red clover.  Honey bees do not work the red clover.  I did not plant any because there are loads of it already growing around my hives.

My girls hit the entire neighborhood.
I would stop and look for my bees in neighbors lawns.
I found them as far as 3 streets over.
Unless someone has feral bees in a tree or their home, those girls are MINE!

According to Huber's experiments they don't fly more than 1 1/2 miles but he concedes it would depend on what forage is available.  According to Brother Adam he knows of his smaller bees (before the tracheal mites took them) flying 5 miles to heather.

Yes, your bees will fly that far.
