Candy up or down?

Just got the new queen. Remove plug and place candy side up so attendants fall "down" and not "in" the hole?
What about colony bees? Will they fall "in"? Also, I have two boxes on. Release teh queen in the top box or bottom???
Wish me luck>>>>

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

Candy side up is fine, it doesn't really matter, bees can move within the cage at will. It doesn't matter where you release her, she'll go where she pleases, pick the box with the most brood in it.
Good luck!
