Yep, got one.  It is a finger that needs attention.  I have a hard bump on the underside of the finger, close to where it attaches to my hand.  It needs to be removed, surgically.

Needless to say, that deed will be done tomorrow.  The doctor said I wouldn't be able to get it wet for about two weeks.  He's gotta be kiddin' me, I am right handed, I have a farm, I have dishes to do, I have things to do.....oh well.  Maybe I can just wear a rubber glove for two weeks and life will be all beautiful and happy, smiling.

Anyways, I know for surely that I won't be able to type very much, what a quandry.  I can read, smiling, guess I'll be a doing a lot of reading, and maybe a little two finger bandit typing.  Things could be alot worse I guess, smiling.  Beautiful days, to love, live and enjoy, health.  Cindi

Sorry to hear about your finger Cindi. Pray the surgery is not too painful. Can't hubby pick up the slack for a few days?
As far 2 finger typing didn't know there was any other way. I been using 2 fingers since college days . Found it faster than other means.

Perhaps the Doc will put a splint on it so you can't bend it and you can tell the whole world.......

Sorry to hear about your finger and the surgery.  You can always use your toes if you want to type just make sure the toe jam doesn't get stuck in the keyboard. evil

Yup I know thats what it is. I was just teasing you guys.
Everyone likes to tease those we care about. I do it too. Cindi is good about taking and she can dish it out as well.
I grew up with 3 brothers and they loved to tease me and they would rather chew glass than just be outright nice about something.
Its like when they see you dolled up, they can't tell you that you look pretty just that you don't look as ugly as you usually do. It took me a while to realize they were complimenting me.
I don't know how I grew up without a complex. Wink

Cindi, you will be in my thoughts & prayers, do let us know howthings went & when they find out what it was. With a bandage you can give the "Maxine Wave"!  I hope you heal very quickly, it drives you  nuts when there is so much to do & you always think of more when you are laid up, even a little. Take care!

Oh my forum friends,  Kiss and a hug.  You all make me laugh and make me smile, each in your own special little ways.  Now Jerry, that one finger splint is a great idea, and with what you said Jody, that Maxine Wave (whatever that is, I can only imagine, smiling).  JP, it's not a frickin' wart!!!  It is a growth.  We tease the ones we love for surely, but for frog's sake man, how could you think that something inside my finger that has to be removed could be a wart.  That would be a wart turned inside out, that would be rather too strange.  But then.....only you.....smiling.

Things will be well, heading out in a little while.

I have that great Husband, who I know will do anything I ask him to if I can't.  He will even do everything that I don't ask him to, he is my helper, he grounds me, and would love nothing more in life to have a happy wife. Smiling.  A happy wife makes for a happy life.  (Hope you dude friends here figure that one out, it is true), and also did you know....that women love with their ears?

Ventrilo Ken, still won't talk in there, I have this issue with talking other than face to face, I don't even like to talk on the phone.  But I can listen, I do that well.... No Ken, not a tendon problem, it is a hard bump/lump, not painful or anything, just a weird thing.  Maybe it is a wart turned inside out.  But haven't been near any frogs, lately.  Beautiful days, to love and live, share with our friends, and wonderful health.  Cindi

Cindi

I am sorry I missed this post and you are probably gone on to the surgery already.   Well see you when you return with your new and improved middle finger.  Yeah that is going to be hard walking around with a plastic glove on for a couple of weeks, but I will send you a special prayer that the time will fly by really fast.

Take care my dear sister and stay upbeat and happy as you are.

Love

JP, you never cease to amaze me with your wit, gotta lot it!!!  The way it is, it coulda been turned inside out.

All is well.  The incision is ugileeeeeee!!!  It is still bandaged and the stitches come out next Friday.  It runs nearly the entire length of my finger on the underside, not straight up and down but on an angle from one end to the other.  Go figure that one.  I will show a picture soon.

The surgeon said to leave the bandage on for two weeks, right....do NOT take it off, right.  Only take it off it it gets wet and then go and get it redressed, right....I told him that I have a farm and the likelihood of it staying clean for two weeks was absurd, he smiled.  The day following surgery I had to go to the care clinic and have it redressed.  That doctor, instead of bandaging the entire hand, as the surgeon had done, simply put like a splint bandage on.  Ken dresses it every night, smiling.  No way on the good green earth could it go a day without new bandage.  And of course, honey is my pal, it is amazing how it is healing.

The surgery was supposed to be done with a local anaesthetic.  The surgeon looked at the area to be worked on and said, no freeze the entire hand.  Which, encompassed an IV that was to have the local in.  Thank my lucky stars the anaestheologist had already put the IV in the other hand, just in case a general anaesthetic was required.  He tried and tried to get a needle into the vein on the hand to be operated on.  Not....the vein kept shrivelling up he said, think he must have tried a couple of veins or something. It could only be done on the hand, in the wrist would not have worked (I feel like I am telling this tale again, dejavu?).  I was attempting to do a deep relax because I was getting very stressed out with the poking and probing, actually it angry me right off.  I had told them that I did not have the best veins in my hands, that is clear to see.  Anyways, he had to try.

After some failed attempts he said, sorry my dear, but you have to go to sleep. Oh bother.  I had slept enough the night before.

The anasetheologist (I think I am spelling it wrong, anyways my spell checker says I am, smiling) after he put the meds in the IV line in the other hand, said to me, "see you in a while", I was going to tell him that things were getting blurry, but all I remember saying was, "things are getting", that was it, naudda, smiling.  Simply amazing eh?

Anyways, as you can see, I can type, yay!!!  I can play!!!  Yay, I am heading off to the auction today with about 50 chicken chicks, a dozen fertile Muscovy duck eggs, 5 old chickens (good soup), and a few ducklings.  Should be an interesting day.

The sun is shinin', my heart is light, and I'm gonna have some fun.

We have ducks coming out our ears.  Sissy is due to hatch 17 in about a week.  There is about 60 more eggs in the incubator, they are due to hatch next Sunday.

In my incubator I have:

Jersey black giants
Araucanas
Polish
Golden laced wyandottes

And that fun begins.  Have that most wonderfully beautiful day, to love and live our great lives that are so worth while to live, health.  Cindi

Glad you survived the wart removal Cindi. Now, it looks like you gonna start writing country songs 'eh?

Mind if I finish it?
