The weather here in W. Iowa is supposed to be CRAP(50s/T-storms and wind Sat-Sun) Is it alright for me to wait in the initial inspection until Mon PM when the weather will be MUCH better?

What did you have? nuc, package with caged queen???
If you had a caged queen, just remove the top long enough to check and make sure she is released.
If so take the empty cage out and put the frames in the correct position, reducing the space where the cage was. Close it back up and wait for a calm day.
