The very nice people I did this one for said they were there about 6 months. Boy they made a ton of comb in that time frame, if that's accurate. I used my long handled scraper to get all the way back in there, just enough to get everything out. Bees were a little mean, but not too bad. Didn't see the queen but did get lots of brood with eggs and very young larvae. Pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/pyxicephalus/April92009?authkey=Gv1sRgCMegm4Hctt_VRw#...JP

Saturday if the weather holds. Although the homeowner said he's not sure if they made it. No dead bees in the snow and they've seen squirrels stealing honeycomb. I'll let you know what I find and take some pics of the autopsy if it is a dead out.

All I can say is WOW! Sure glad I do them from the inside. I wouldn't want to go through that. Overhead is soooooo much easier.

We have a lot in common when it comes to bees Iddee, but our approach ain't one of them. You have me cracking up. Overhead removals are my absolute last resort, I hate doing them. You can have them all if you want them! ...JP

You're going to have to slip down some more if you continue to do cutouts like that. Think "I'm as sleak as a snake"
