God we can only hope they have figured out what 49% of the population already knew back in November.

49%???  You have to be kidding. From the 51% that voted for him, 3/4 were voting racially, 20% were voting to increase their welfare check, and the other 5% were really dumb enough to think he was the right choice. So 5% of 51% actually fell for his drivel.

About 97.5%, not 49%, actually knew better.

lol yes but it was the 49% of us who said no matter what, we are not falling for his BS and did not vote for him.  We were also the ones who said I don't care if they think I am prejudice I will never vote for that commie.   I also think that Acorn should be held accountable and every last one of they should be on there way to jail.

An Idiot?  You think?  Amazing that an idiot abandoned by his father, from a working class family can get his self through one of the most prestigious schools In The World, and become president of the Most powerful country in history - by way of the first election in a long time that wasn't questionable I might add.

Sure David...the details might be a bit different, but I heard for 8 years the same thing thrown at Bush. "What an idiot".....now all of a sudden...Gasp!... How could we call the next guy an idiot? Surely it takes more than that to get elected...right?

But it goes to show, it's the political machine of the parties that get people elected. OBama was hand chosen, and groomed along the way. So lets give credit where credit is due....Both parties may very well SUCK at making idiots appear better than they are.  grin

But as with both parties, when your guy is in office, objectivity gets thrown out the door and he can do no wrong. And at this point, I say he's no "savior" that some imagined and has screwed up the country more.

YES, it is totally amazing that such a person could have that kind of money without ever holding a job or showing a source of income, while being connected to some QUITE questionable groups.

TRULY AMAZING!!!

Or are the the most prestigious schools In The World now paying the students millions to attend? I don't think so.

.

this is!  but the explanation is that people did not want to know the nature of the person they were electing.  the wanted "not bush" and "historical".  they sure got that.  he's not bush, and he's historical along the lines of Chavez  grin  what is equally amazing to me, is how many people are becoming horrified by what this man and his congress are doing, but they are doing NOTHING.  this his history brought alive for me, but sadly, in my own country.

watch for expanded use of military in the US.  it may start with use of guard on border.  perfectly legal.  it is also possible legal for them to use active forces on the border if it's a national security issue.  i believe we will see that.  we may also see more uprisings  like the tea party movement.  one small incident, real or manufactured, will be enough to use the military in our states to "keep peace".  this government has one serious disadvantage that other would be rulers do not face in their own countries;  that is that fact that our military takes an oath to the constitution, not the leader.

this could get interesting, folks.

hey....i'm starting to sound a little paranoid  grin

I don't know what you are talking about - really.  What kind of money, and what groups?  Public figures shake a lot of hands, it doesn't really indicate a connection.

Sure, as long as you're trying to be constructive.

Seriously, you don't think that you've ever been in a group that included someone you wouldn't really want to be associated with?  I have - church, school, boy scouts, PTA, social, business and service organizations -online forums Wink

Unless you're a hermit you're bound to rub shoulders with someone who is some kind of criminal.  Fortunately, most of us don't get smeared because of it.

Personally I would consider voting for John Gotti if I thought he would straighten out the mess we're in - See, that was a joke.

david, you need to go back and look at what his associations really were.  they were more than a handshake.  he was deeply involved with many of these people, not to mention sitting in that church for 20 years.

i'm not sure that matters now.  we knew what he was, or should have.  we knew he had the most liberal voting record in the senate, that he supported gun control, didn't support the "born alive" legislation.  we knew who he worked with and who he had as his mentors, and voted him in anyway.  we also knew he would have from NP and HR the support he needed for his socialist programs.

we voted in a man with a very big shovel; not to get us out from under the mess, but to dig our grave that much faster.

C'mon guys!  Don't tell me that you are reading those questionable blogs and internet sources??  Those right wing nuts out there who are just spreading every lie and rumor that they hear that could hurt somebody?  The hateful screechers?

Your right I never read internet blog just because they are so inaccurate.  I get my news from Fox, BBC America, Hrvatska TV (my wife is fluent and so what I don't understand she lets me know, but I'm getting better) and yes CNN.  btw the start of this thread is from Fox and from what I have been seeing on Hrvatska I would say its factual.

Again, are the best colleges free? Did he earn millions delivering newspapers in Hawaii? Just where did his seemingly endless source of funds come from?

If one existed, I would certainly use it. As is, I have to read many and connect the dots between the 5% lines of truth.

but it's so important that the world love us!  wouldn't that be enough to influence the left?  all we need is love...la la la.....

people are not focusing on the real goals of this admin.  the economy is a fortunate distraction for them.  as long as people are focused on that, the government has free rein to push through all of the programs that they have wanted for years.  point people at the  nasty people at AIG, and use it as in excuse for expanded powers to take over companies and limit salaries.  point people at job loss and the economy and use it as a convoluted excuse for national health care.

point people at the "energy crisis" and use it as an excuse to put smart thermostats in peoples houses to monitor energy use.  hey, it's better than the thermal imaging that they are using in the UK.

anyone listen to the town hall today?  it ought to scare the living crap out of you!
