Hate to be a party pooper.... Before you go tearing into Cyberspace, you might wanna check to see how many Gigabytes are going to be allowed for you per month...I had a problem with this issue awhile back...5 gig is alotta usage per month really...It turned out that my son was downloading movies all nite long. This used up all my Gigs, so verizon cut my speed way back...I kept losing contact too, you know, getting booted alot. Verizon was SUPER with helping me figure this out and what was happening...I told Brad to get his own aircard, which he did....his first bill was 350$...He went over his gig usage in just a week or so. Now the tricky part....With Brad getting a card he had a different contract than me....My contract had fine print stating that I could be "Throttled" in a manner of speaking) means slowed down), where as Brads contract states that he will be charged for any over usage. After talking to Verizon, Hughesnet, and Zanadoo, They all revealed to me that ALL ISPs will be making 5 gig limits on accounts soon in the future. I was taught that the internet, originally, wasnt made for all these games and you tube types of stuff which go on nowadays..The customer sevice people of these places DID say that you can actually get more Gig usage but it will cost quite a bit more. For me and my wife, now that we have a special aircard router, I have a very easy time checking my gig usage....so far, its NOTHING now compared to when Brad was using the same aircard as me. I just thought that some of you guys may not have known about this Gig usage thing..I learned the hard way! your friend, john

Yeah, back in the early internet days (can you say 28.8Fax Modem and not laugh) ran into that with my provider. Got a $240.00 ISP bill. Now I always check the details.

Yeah.... Beer cans.... That's the "Ticket" lol actually I'm so excited, this will likely be my only vacation this year - I have a hernia to take care of and more important, I'm not sure what is going to happen with Tracey, she is having complications with her kidneys, she has already had an angioplasty done on the right side, now to do the left a cardio-specialist is needed to do the procedure - her kidney function is now at 35% very low and later this month they decide what they are going to do. I'm scared about this one Irwin, not even caring that I have no sickleave to speak of after my two months out with my car accident, all I have left is annual leave. So I'll be saving as much as I can in case she needs me here post any surgeries. Man, where'd all that come from? Oh yeah, I'm talking to a friend!!!! How many minutes no Irwin??? I'll be on Ventrilo all afternoon, get in there and say hi - willya? I want to be the first to talk to you - nanny anny foo foo Dallas It is a different world Irwin, it is freakin' StarTrek, I swear with high-speed!!! I'll have to send you all my links that you could never go to without highspeed, so you can see the amazing word that the Internet has become! Fingers crossed and I pity the guy who is an hour late

that's easy. when he goes over, he pays. you don't. he has the choice of having internet access and being responsible, or having no access. bet it would only happen once after that deal. and yes, sometimes my kids hated me!

Many Members have limits, typically 5 gigs a month and then their "high-speed" slows to a crawl. Some systems charge for extra bandwidth, while others just torture you by slowing you down.
Comcast here (not sure about everywhere, but I never heard Comcast said as limiting their bandwidth) is what I have and trust me, I'd be out of 5 gigs in a few days, let known a month. There is no limit and I have endless things happening on my computer all day and night long, whether I'm home or not: Downloading Movies, streaming radio stations, uploading content, endless upload and downloads, endless streaming of stuff and I don't know what I'd do with limits.
My dialup company long ago started writing me,although they'd say unlimited bandwidth they wrote and said that there was no way ONE PERSON could be using the computer 24 hours a day. I said there were 4 people in our house, I worked staggered-swing shift and got on all kinds of the night and day - besides what happened to unlimited? He replied that unlimited was based on 1 person using an avarage amount of data in 8 hours a day. When cable came I dropped him on the spot.
Sad that such service put limits on the Internet, 5 gigs goes very quickly and if the meter is running after than, expect a whopper of a bill.
