There is something about boiling sap and drinking beer.  Its no wonder this stuff costs so much.  It takes a case of beer to make a 1/2 gallon of syrup

I believe my buddy Keith from Baton Rouge would be very good at making syrup then!  banana devil

Obviously not drinking fast enough or increase maple syrup production!

So where do you get taps? I think I gotta try this. I think I can find four big trees nexct year!

The taps or spiles as there called come in galvinized, stainless or plastic.  They are very cheap!!  Plastic are .40ea from this supplier.   I have the plastic ones that have a hose barb.  I connect 2 of them to a foot of tubing then into a tee fitting then a single 2 ft pc of tubing that extends to the ground.  I have 6 gallon buckets with a hole drilled in the lid that sits on the ground.  The lid keeps rain, bark and bird poop out

boy, i wish that was something we could do here!  real maple syrup is sooo expensive and i'm sure it's not anything like the stuff you guys are cooking.
