For the first time in my life, I opened a hive and found a queen. A local beekeeper let me tag along as he inspected his apiary. I can't wait until I have my own bees! Sadly, a few of his hives died from the erratic temperatures we've been having. The workers died trying to warm the brood. I have some pictures and more details on my blog, BackyardApiary.com
