Ok guys, what is your favorite outdoor activity? For me I would say backpacking. I love getting to camp in places that you have to work to get to. How about you???

I have a friend that has horses, and I've gone riding a few times with her 12 year old daughter. But I've been riding horses since I was about 10, in all sorts of ways - english riding, jumping classes, volunteer work with the Wyoming forest service, rounding up cattle, horse breaking & training, and just pleasure.
But there is one thing I like even better than horse back riding. That's scuba diving! I haven't done that since I was about 18 or 19 though. But I had enough training that if I took 2 more classes, I could have qualified as a scuba trainer. (Not trying to brag, just a talkin'.)

Skiing. I use to do this a lot and then i had kids and was absent from the slopes for 11 years. I just went last weekend and it was so good to be back on the slopes. It is amazing to be on the top of a mountain and you are going down the hill on two little boards.

For me it would have to be -- beekeeping. I can't understand why it isn't even on your list.

We work in the garden, field and greenhouses, which beats working in the confines of the office (which I do too much of). But I also like to lay in the hammock, picnic, sit around a fire and chat with friends, mess with the hives, or just walk through the grass and weeds. And at night, I like pulling out the telescope and sightseeing through the universe. That's a BIG outdoors! The cold, still nights of winter are best for that.

Love to camp and canoe. Sometimes both at the same time. Also enjoy hiking ,some of the shooting sports, and of course cutting and using firewood.

Most of the above, but you left out one of the most important - Gardening! That's what I'd rather be doing anytime.

Can't remember the list cause I'm making a post, this is what I like to do. It all pertains to warm weather, so snowmobiles and cold stuff are out: Gardening Beekeeping, really keen on bee watching Picnicing Backpacking (if it is not too far) Short vacations in our 5th wheel Canoeing Biking Biking on motorcycles Laying on hammock under shade reading my grandchildren stories Drinking beer (or wine, or iced tea) around my pool, under the shade of the beech tree Harvesting vegetables for processing Videotaping Camera shots Listening to the sounds of nature Identifying birds and insects Going out for dinner, eating outside in restaurant patios in the summer Vacuuming my house
That about sums it up. Best of the great day. Cindi
