Bushfire update from Downunder.

Well we have had several small fires break out, right on the Urban fringe. No houses or lives lost, although another fire fighter was killed by a widowmaker.

We have escaped the winds, but its so dry. We should have had 80mm, we have had 2mm.

Tuesday looks dangerous. 75kph winds from the North with 38c temps.

I expect my area, immediate area, to be hit then. We had a couple of small ones today.

7 major fires remain burning with a total front of 1200km. Over 1000 trucks, about 50 aircraft, 7000 men and women, 90% volunteers remain fighting these fires that will burn for a month at least.
