I have a friend who may have coined this phrase, its rather simple, but if you think about it, it can apply to lots of things. It also happens to remind me of M.B.'s catch phrase "Everything works, if you let it" The phrase is "Its all the same, only different". Of course I've always got a kick out of "No matter where you go, there you are". Any Buckaroo Banzai fans out there? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086856/...JP

No good deed goes unpunished.
But a close second is:
It is better to remain silent and appear ignorant than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt. (I am pretty sure this is Twain or a version on Twain).

This is easy (although I have 2)
My Dad said: in order to keep a secret, tell one person - then kill him!
Winston Churchill said: When going through hell, keep going!

Reminds me of an excellent movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil".

I don't think so, and it's hard to go wrong with Princess Bride quotes either. Life Isn’t Fair. It’s just fairer than death, that’s all. - William Goldman, “The Princess Bride”

Handle stress the way a dog does. If you can't chew it or play with it, just pee on it and walk away.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold. The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold. The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee. Robert Service

This is another of my favorites "Hug me till you drug me honey, kiss me till I'm in a coma, hug me honey, snugly bunny, love's as good as soma" from the book, Brave New World.
My wife loves the quote as well.

Human beings can only interact with one another through two methods: reason or force. If at any point, either party chooses force, the other must either submit or respond with force, I prefer reason. But I am ready to respond with force. Submission is not an option.
