The boys and I bought new fishing kayaks. These are made by native watercraft, and we have rented them several times in the past. We decided to take the plunge and now are anxiously awaiting floating and fishing season. We have great small small mouth bass streams here in the Ozarks and with these boats, we go where few people ever get to see. The time with the kids is wonderful, and we relive each float throughtout the winter over dinners, breakfasts and rides in the car. We should be in the water within 30 days. I can't wait!

Good luck, have fun and post some pics.
I hate to say my boat has been sitting idle for a while now. I more than likely would have built a rack to hold a kayak to persue more redfish w/ the flyrod in our marshes.
Redfish on a flyrod are hard to beat. I hear those smallies are excellent fighters.

Won't be long now. Because of health issues and my job forcing me to work weekends last year my wife and I only got out twice last year. I hope to have another job this year that will allow us to get out more times this year. Getting out in the kayaks or canoes is a great way to recharge your batteries.

That is the purtiest pirogue I have ever seen! Most I see are olive drab or cypress wood from all the paint scraped off. The youngest one I have seen was probably 20 or so years "young"
