Last night was at a friends house (where I keep my bees). Having tea and talk and suddenly smelled this horrible smell - skunk.
Looked out the door and this crazy skunk with his tail up in the air had sprayed all over the front porch, all over the poor dog and his bed and no matter how much we harrassed this skunk,he would not leave the porch. kept trying to attack the dog. Finally threw boiling water at it and it ran away.

Well the smell was so horrible throughout the whole house, we were all gagging.

We didn't know what to do to get rid of the smell and the light bulb went off in my head. Get the smoker. Ran to the barn and lit the smoker and smoked up the whole inside of the house. It worked!!! Got rid of most of the odor, but then the house was so full of smoke we had to get the smoke out. It was hilarious.

So just thought I would share the experience.

Ugh...had a similar experience before the bees....a skunk went off about that close the house.

It was interesting opening up a new sealed package of oreos....skunk flavored oreos.  They'll never catch on.

Soo....now your house smells like a chainsmoking skunk?  grin

So I thought I hit a raw nerve or something and it made me feel

Does that clear it up?

No raw nerve hit. Just a joke here on the forum about the time I spent in jail. It wasn't anything serious.

I did read that. But no I don't read everything. I hardly venture into the forums above this one unless something new catches my eye. Just seems to be a bunch of reruns going on up there.
