So I went to the website for metal detecting TwT posted because I inherited my fathers findings. Here are a few pictures I posted. Hope you enjoy.

under the coins where is says like 84 million, is that how many were made?

Yes the number below the coins is how many were made.  I was hoping it was the price  . I like the 1943 steal pennies but they are only worth cents. If you can find the 1943 copper penny then it could be worth about $75,000.00.

You need to find the 1909S VDB  penny that only had 1/2 milion made.  Its worth over 500.00 right now

very nice collection, you have to watch it if you got the detector though, it is like bee's, you will not every sit on the beach again hardly, always looking for them nice coins and jewelry  , I use to go to the beach with my cooler  and shades  and watch the scenery    but now I just watch and make sure I cover all the sand, drag a foot to leave a trail so I know where I have done searched. only see sand now until I get a good tone  , wonder what this might be, most are aluminum can tops and some coins but one day it might be the real thing, Diamond ring the size of 2 carrots

Nice. The pictures above are just a quarter of what I got. Im trying to find a good coin book to get values and then sit down and go through all of them.

what I did was a google my coins.  No idea how accurate though.

I had a white detector in the 80's, and went hunting down in Mississippi while stationed in Biloxi. The batteries went missing on one of my moves, and I still have that old detector, which I'm sure is way outdated. The only thing I found worth anything was a couple buffalo nickels and a mercury dime. Never went again after that time.

If you are in Colorado, take a little time to look for some of the old ghost towns. Use the detectors to search for some old coins or better yet a few nuggets of gold!!!

get on the internet and do a search on each detector, they will have different strong points and this you will need to learn, one might be a coin shooter will another might be best in hot mineralized area's, the other could be for gold, every detector has its own strong points, learn to use them and you will find a new world in pirating

I am going out this coming weekend with a guy from work. We are going to go to the old Santa Fe Trail that actually was a branch off going from Granada Colorado south into Oklahoma. There are lots of old homesteads and dugout homes.

Look on the map for old river and large creek crossings, as the people used to stop and camp for the night where there was water and get things ready for the crossing.
