I started my summer solstice program the 2nd week of January. I started 1:1 and put in a megabee patty. These 2 hives are fall nucs I bought last Oct. and placed in a 10 frame box. They have only eaten half the patty. They are taking the 1:1 pretty well. I thought by now they would have drawn out more frames. 1 has only drawn out ½ of 1 frame and the other hasn’t drawn out any. I don’t see any noticeable problems with them. But I didn't know if they could be storing the 1:1 in what have have drawn and not letting the queen have enough room to lay. Should I spray the un drawn foundation with some 1:1? Or any other tips. Or is more of a case of me just beeing impatient?
