The full 20 minute audio tape is very interesting. They are working on a CG mock up of the a/c in flight with the real time atc comms. It should be posted in a week or so Somewhere.

It was nice to see the Capt. at the Superbowl. Somehow I get the feeling he just wants to be left alone, but heroes rarely are.

The ATC guy deserves a medal as well! When he calls up the alternative airport, its a very casual "hey dude" he receives, but the no nonsense professionalism kicks in once the guy hears "emergency", very reassuring to hear. Such a reaction only comes when you are good at your job. The initial ATC man just goes back to work.
