Weird in a bad way.  This makes me sick. On so many levels.  But it also makes my head spin, and if i think about it too much, furious.

A rose is a rose is a rose.  Doesn't matter if its still on the stem, in a bag, pinned to a lapel.

We make an arbitrary cut-off point if we say it's worse to kill a baby post birth.

brings up some questions.  why are abortions being done at 23 weeks if it has been possible to save babies at that age?  with the advances in medical care, what was a fetus yesterday, is a baby today.  should the difference between murder and legal abortion be determined by how advanced our science is on any given day?

there was a time when a baby born that early would have been wrapped in a blanket and given to its mother to hold, or been put in a warmer, until it died.  no effort would have been made to save it, because we didn't not have the skills to save it.  now we have the skills, but we put the child in a plastic bag and toss it in the trash.
