It would be a real Cinderella story if Arizona won, but unlikely. Being a Seahawks fan I know from experience that Pittsburgh can get credit for a touchdown and not even cross the goal line.

I took AZ and the points +7 today. There are alot of reports of Pit players being out until 3-4 am every night this week. Zero about AZ.

Wonder how much money has been spent leading up to this day and how much will be spent on just this one day for this one occasion. All the television commercials. All the tickets bought. All the money paid to all the folks that do the work... Security.... media.... player..... on and on.
Money spent for the beer and tailgate parties. The cost of everyone getting there. The money spent by the people that don't go where the game is played but have other parties all over the world.
Wonder how many hungry/malnutritioned people around the world could be fed with that money. How many wouldn't have to freeze to death.
Oh well. Enjoy the game.

Good one! I think many people from hotel owners to maids, store owners to clerks, taxi business owners to drivers,...and the list is endless, all probably gained from such a thing. The world would never be "better" if these things never happened. Unless your thinking that without the game, all these people will be sitting at home with that "unused" cash, and can be forced to donate it, or be taxed out of it. Those who spend wildly for such things including travel, accommodations, etc., all are putting money in someone Else's pockets, stimulate local economy, etc. As for people starving to death around the world, money and even food are usually not the problem. It is the governments who run these countries. Giving more money or food beyond what already is given, will be used the same as what much of it already is....to grease politicians and leaders pockets. I find it hard to think that if a superbowl was not played, that it would make a dent in whether someone starved halfway around the world, in a country where civil war continues or the government refuses to change. I normally read about someone saying "who cares", which is always interesting as to why they would even comment that way if not calling themselves out in some way. But this, "we would be better off without it" is quite interesting. What else could be suggested? The movie industry, all sports in general, the arts, the vacation industry, forums and entertainment on the computer??? I always think talk of how better off we could be if not for this or that, is a base line comment for communist ideology. As if all people gave up everything they absolutely did not need, and we could all magically give to those less fortunate, the world would become some Utopian society and would be the answer to all problems. As if we got rid of everything and anybody, beyond having everyone wear a standard issue gray uniform while holding a stick for planting rice would be good.. Anyone in arts, kill them. Churches....get rid of them.....a waste of money! Sports....not in this country! Travel for entertainment and an overpriced hotdog....not good for the "people"! We got people to feed...people to help....people to make equal! And who does not want that?

Personally I think trying to feed those other countries is a waste of time and money. Some because of what you said and another reason is because some of those lands have been drained of any hope of growing crops. So we manage to feed the people but the young ones then grow up and have more babies. More people someone has to feed. And about those "evil" governments. I really do not understand how they stay around as long as they do. Who do they get to enforce their will? Who do they have to keep the people from getting rid of them. Aren't their "strong arms" coming from the population? Can't the enforcers see what they are doing to their own people and would then want to turn on those in office? And when the people have all starved to death there is no one left to govern anyway And if they get their riches trough taxes then they get no more riches. Can I hijack a thread or what?

Hey Mike, you know what I wonder? How many less words you would have written in your reply above if Jerry wouldn't have pushed your super bowl buttons!! Man, don't you know by now Jerry loves doing that sort of thing??? IALMAO!!! Hey Jerry, enjoy the superbowl man!!! We're gonna watch the game around our chiminea and am only using dollar bills for fuel, each dollar we will give a name to, commemorating the homeless and starving children in the world. At half time we're gonna throw a bunch of food in the street, just for the fun of it and dance to

I went with the Steelers, mostly because there from PA. I don't really care that much for either team. Since the Cardinals beat out the Eagles and me being an Eagles fan, I'm rooting for the Steelers. Wow that was a long sentence.
