It appears that several European countries are starting to ban certain pesticides due to the damage they do to colonies.

When the termiticide Premise, by Bayer came on our market it was hailed as a non-repellant termiticide that would eliminate termite colonies on homes, but it never really did what it was supposed to do and it was and is very moisture sensitive, and leaching is a real concern.

On termites the active ingredient, imidacloprid affects their ability to clean themselves properly and accelerates spore growth.

You can tell when Premise was used as dead termites will be blanketed with a white abundance of spore growth.
