In Wisconsin it's illegal to drink beer out of a bucket on street corners.

This law dates back to the days when people would send a kid down to the tavern to get a bucket of beer and they would have a few sips on the way home

In NC, if you build a dune buggy or other car, in order to get it licensed for the street, you have to have windshield wipers on it.

You do NOT have to have a windshield.

 In NY you can pump your own gas, but you have to hold the handle(inhaling fumes) at all times unless you stick the gas cap in the handle. All portable gas cans have an anti-overfill device on them. We have a lot of these "safety" laws because one idiot did something stupid and now everyone in the state is treated like they are a child.

Well, I just found out that I can't mount my new GPS on the windshield. California doesn't allow that.  So I had to purchase a device to keep it on the dashboard. And it has to be on either side of the dashboard, not in the center. So silly!!

Can't be obstructing that view. I think it is illegal to have things hanging from the rear view mirror but people do it.
