I really enjoy this long time Internet Station caslled Shoutcast. You can go here, type any Genre of music you like and get dozens and hundreds of stations around the world (mostly all Internet Only Stations) not broadcast to choose from. Then arrange them by bitrate (broadband stream) or how ever you wish. I like NEW AGE and JAZZ mostly, try either of these or WORLD MUSIC sometime and see the possibilities. I really like to listen to this as I surf or work around the house, the 128 bitrate is very nice quality, but they offer much lower and much higher rates too according to your internet connection, etc.. Here is the link to their main page, you'll see general music topics to the right categorized, but type your favorite themes and checkout the many stations available. JUST CLICK ON THE YELLOW TABS that say TUNE IN to play the station directly, the links to the right of the tabs take you to the station on the net. http://www.shoutcast.com/ - and for the heck of it, try new age, you should get about a dozen stations under new age - sometimes classical or other styles creep in there, but usually for just a song or two. Even ambient is cool too for background music, it isn't canned elevator stuff, it is wonderful relaxing music that I find very moving . Shoutcast does have something for everyone, I guess that is what I like about it the most  |

Diversity is a wonderful thing! Makes life interesting. As you'll see my musical taste varies greatly. Doesn't matter what genre, I like music that sounds good or has sentimental value. This song was playing on the alarm clock near Roxie, Ms when I took my first deer with the muzzleloader. It is of course, the deer song.
This one is the bowling song, reminds me when I was 12 and my sis and I, and two cousins were in a bowling league together. They always played this song:
Cindi, this one's for you. Its my all time favorite version of helpless. BTW if you don't have a copy of the unplugged video this came from you def need to look into it. I don't own a burner or I would make you one.

Weird as it may sound, I'm not exactly a Neil Diamond fan but I thing the Jonathan Livingston Seagull souns track is right up there with the original Rocky Soundtrack. Just thought I'd throw that out there Oh.... and I can't forget Aimee Mann who performed the sound track for the movie MAGNOLIA (not steel MAgnolia) the movie, and I highly suggest you see it if you haven't, follows the lives of about 12 people, seemingly of all generation and backgrounds - as it moves along, you get to see how their lives are intertwined. It stars somseriously big named stars Julianne Moore, Phillip Seymore Hoffman, William H. Macy and so many more familiar faces - it is one of those shows that grow on you and worth seeing a second time just two cents to cement those characters together, its a long movie but so different that it will stick with you a long time. PS.... this was about music, remember Aimee Mann - try to find her music, she's a bit like Chryl Crow but she has more than 2 songs - lol. |

My tastes range all over but here are a couple of ones I've been listening to lately. I'm pretty sure I can't post links yet so you'll have to search youtube to find them, sorry.  Kristen Cothron=jazz with some blues influence, Selena Garcia=jazz pop blend, Apocalyptica=3 cellos rocking 'nuf said, Meiko= folk rock. I really love music so I could go on, but I'll quit..........for now  |
