Confirm Mold ok ?
« on: December 14, 2008, 03:57:37 PM »
After extraction I open fed the supers back. After they were cleaned up I sprayed them with BT Azawai. They now have mold on them.

Is it true that the bees will clean this up well enough to harvest honey from ?
Thanks
Mike

Today it got to 75 degrees or warmer and bees were trying to get thru my bedroom window!.Now we have a cold front blasting thru and I bet its 35 degrees now!

Yup, that will be just fine!

The little bit of water probably wetted the pollen and trace sugar enough to give the mold a field day.  If you can next time stack them so they get a little air so they dry out and you won't see that as bad.
