...for the fact I'm still alive. At my Sister-in-Law's urging I tried to recount all the times I've had very close calls with death. She had 25 items on her list before I stopped because it was just so rediculous to continue.
...Also for my family and for the opportunity they represent for leaving some type of contribution to this world.
I don't mean those to sound selfish,,,It's just, well...it's just hard to explain.

Brian, you do not come on as being selfish at all, don't think that way.
Kathy, thank you for starting this thread.
This is something that we should be grateful for. A day in our life where we can be thankful/grateful.
Everyone will have something to be thankful for. I am thankful each day that I wake up, knowing that I have a life to live.
Upon the advice of Opra, many years ago I kept a grateful book, every day I entered a writing about something I was grateful for, and there are many things. Have a wonderful and grateful day, great health. Cindi

The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee. Robert Service

I'm grateful for so many things, many of them so simple. What a wonderful time of the year.
