Hello friends. I could use a little prayer from you all right at this moment. My husband is in India right now outside of Calcutta to be exact. I know he is safe and sound, but I worry about him getting home.

The violence is in Mumbai right now and not in Calcutta, but this hits home in a big way. Hubby was staying at the Taj Hotel in Calcutta a few weeks ago and I am very familiar with the Taj and the Oberoi hotels where the violence is right now. Just feeling very emotional right now and wish he was home safe.

Thanks for any prayers

Annette

Oh Annette, you know our thoughts will be with your Husband and his safe return to you.  He will be coming home soon now, seems to me that he has been gone quite close to a month now?  You are concerned, that is very normal human response.  Things will be OK, and I hope you can keep calm and be ready to greet that man when he returns.  He will need you, I know he has missed you as much as you have missed him, the time will soon come, and safely.  Take care, Annette, think calming thoughts, rest....and have a great day tomorrow and many more to come, great health.  Cindi

over the years with all of us in the military, i have had to deal with this kind of feeling.  it sucks.  the only way i know to do it is to realize that there is nothing you can do.  take care of yourself.  do what you normally do.  don't stay glued to the tv.  go see a movie or something.  no one is helped if you worry yourself into a fix.

not much help, but from experience......

i will keep you and your husband in our prayers.

More than that, they are unconcerned with the fortunes of their village, the safety of their streets, the fate of their church and its vestry. They think that such things have nothing to do with them, that they belong to a powerful stranger called “the government.” They enjoy these goods as tenants, without a sense of ownership, and never give a thought to how they might be improved.....

Dearest Annette,

You have my prayers as do all of those currently suffering from anything and everything in this world...

Please keep us posted on your Hubby.  I am grateful he has suffered no harm.

Breathe deep, see him in your minds eye, safe and sound and coming back home to you...

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti  Om

Im thinking of you, you must be very worried. Indias a big place, Calcutta would be down the list of their options I reckon there are other cities that are more well known that would give them more publicity. So Im sure he will be fine, but probably a good idea to head home early for christmas anyway.

Oh, Annette, I can't imagine the worry - but Kathy is right.  He isn't in the midst of it, he'll get out and be home, and you have to find a way to not worry yourself to a frazzle.  What a horrible situation.  You take care and know you've got people all over thinking positive thoughts for you and your husband!

Irwin, I am not sure if Annette told us deeply what he is doing there, but I think that he had some work or something to do, she will tell you later when she reads your post.  Cindi

I am feeling better today. I know for sure that Calcutta is not high a priority on their list of places to attack, just was shocked by all the news. I have not heard from him, but I know he is OK and very safe.

Hubby went on a spiritual retreat over there for 5 weeks. It is something we have done together many years, but my job does not allow me to take such long vacations anymore, so he went alone this time.

I thank you all for your prayers, and I do understand that everything is ok for him. I pray for all those other people as well.

Sad, Sad, Sad

It is rare to get me out of Oregon and I will never leave the good ole USA. When ever you step over the line to much can go wrong.
