We went to the surgeon yesterday to get the staples out, and to hear the pathology report that was supposed to be here last Friday. When we got there the report still wasn't in! I didn't realize it but poor Greg was then convinced that the report was bad - but it wasn't! At the end of our visit the doctor left the room but quickly came right back in with the report - and he's cured, the doctor used the word cured. No cancer cells were found even at the base of where they'd taken out the cancerous polyp. Greg is so happy, and so am I!! Now he's just got to get his strength back - the doctor told him he can't shovel snow this winter, that it's going to take that long to get abdominal strength back, but other than that he's all set.
Early detection is the key - if you've reached the magic five-oh, please go to your doctor and get a colonoscopy. There is no reason in this day and age for anyone to die of colon cancer!

Ann, oh my heart goes out to you and Greg. I know how the human soul worries so much about things, I can only imagine where your Husband's mind has been, the horrors of thinking that things are not right. Well, girl, yeah, yeah, yeah!!! Now you take good care of that good man of yours, ensure that he does not push snow around, hee, hee. Feed him all his happiest meals, the ones that make him feel good. He has that new life that he is beginning, and thank you lucky stars that things have gone so well, I will thank mine too for ya!!! Have the most wonderful and great day and life, great health wishes. Cindi

There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold. The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold. The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee. Robert Service
