I watched ER up until it swung left
Jurassic Park one of my favorite books ever
The movie did it no justice but was still a fantastic movie
Lost World great book not so good movie
I read a few other books, which the titles elude me, but I enjoyed every book of his I picked up.

I remember that JUMANJI (sic) with Robin Williams was the first to use MAJOR CGI with non-existant elephants, rinos and hippos flying and smashing their way through a city.
I feel sorry for anyone who didn't see the THEATRICAL VERSION of Jurrasic Park, having a HDTV is pretty pleasing too, but to see Dinosaurs as portrayed creatures to this quality NEEDED an IMAX to do it JUSTICE!
Some Movies HAS TO BE SEEN IN THE THEATER. Others (most) any TV will do. But if you DON'T have a High Def TV, it is time - content (if in your area) has finally made it worth having HDTV at least with Direct-TV, Fios and Comcast. Each are very different, but all have good HDTV channels.
Watch commercials to: I say (my opinion) always take a sation WITH more HDTV CHANNELS, than HDTVROGRAMS AVAILABLE. There is a difference Between channels and programming, take channels I say!
Much programming is BS you would never watch, typically if ONDEMAND is available, Most of it is $.99 for TV SHOWS to $16 for adult hotel style movies.
Better more channels (makke sure to channel line up - they might include 10 pages of HD soccer, and you don't watch that. Make sure the BASIC FULL PACKAGE has REAL TV CONTENT)
I say though to forget TV and watch all your TV shows on the web in high def style with few commercials. People with HDVRs have it made, that is as good as it gets.

He had a great book based on Beowulf the name of which escapes me. It was made into a movie with Antonio Banderas (I think) but the book was much better. Nothing like fiction bsaed on classical literature that as a teenager I did understand but as an adult I have finally leanred to enjoy.

I've read most of his stuff:The Andromeda Strain, The Terminal Man, Westworld, Jurrasic Park, Lost World, Coma, Congo, Sphere, The Great Train Robbery, Looker, Runaway, Physical Evidence, Rising Sun, Disclosure, Timeline, Twister, and just finished readingAirframe. I still have yet to read Eaters of the Dead, Jasper Johns, Electronic Life, and Travels.
His death illustrates that Cancer is no repsector of age or position.
