I turn 30 this November on the 25th.  My crazy parents told me they are gunna take me to the tattoo parlor here in town and get me inked for the first time.  My folks are crazy but I think I'm cool with it.  I'm the only one in my entire family that has not been tattooed.  Grandpa got his Hula Dancer in WWII in Pearl Harbor right before going off to fight in Okinawa.  My Dad went with our Irish heritage and has a Leprechaun ready to fist fight on his arm and all my siblings names and grandbabies on the other arm.  My mom went with my grandmother and both got ankle tats a couple years ago.  And even my middle sister has several.  The only ones who dont are me and my 12 year old sis.

So I'm not sure what to get.  I've always thought getting a celtic cross would be perfect since it represents my faith and heritage.  I also thought a banjo would be cool since I've been a bluegrass banjo picker since I was 8.

Anyone have a beekeeping tattoo on here?  That would be interesting!
Heck, let's see your tattoos anyway!  Take a pic and post it!

I really don't like tattoos.

Ever thought about not following the herd?

Sean, you go!!!  I think tatoos are very beautiful, even if they are of really weird things.  Some love them, some don't.  We all have tatoos around here, well most of us and they all have their most interesting little stories that go behind them.  I'll bring on some pictures here for ya!!!  Have a most wonderful day and life, great health wishes for us all.  Cindi

This sounds like a reality tv show in the making Sean! If you listen to Johnnybigfish you can put an arrow on your butt that says one way!!!

Actually I have looked into getting one, I have an idea in my head of what I want, just have to find the right artist. I've actually thought about getting one for many yrs now, but it has to be perfect because its permanent.

Yeah, show your tats everyone!

And Cindi, I'm sorry to burst your bubble but your tattoo stands for Rock Lady!

Sean,
If your mom is paying, don't you think an old classic of a heart with "MOM" inside would be appropriate?  grin

You know, I actually thought of doing that!  But my family tells me that would be dumb.

Like JP said, I've been thinking of this for several years and just never could get the courage or $$$ to get a celtic cross tat.  But now my folks are making me do it and paying for it!  Can't pass that up!  Heck, you only live once right?!

These pics are all awesome!  Keep the tat pics coming!

Your folks are making you do it? I thought you said you were 30yo.

I think the human skin is beautiful and tats make it really ugly. I have seen a lot of really cool, pretty tattoos but they always somehow seem to ruin the beauty of the body.

But then, I think a woman is better looking with out make-up. After all, what would you rather look at, the woman, or the face paint?

I dont mind tattoos as long as they are on someone else, my wife got one on above her ankle a few years back and she loves it, I myself will never get one, its something I never cared about doing. I would probably get a tattoo the same day I get a bone piercing through my nose   shocked evil  tongue

I think Tats are ugly, regardless of how colorful.  I have more respect for my body than to turn it into a walking billboard.
I always felt that getting a tattoo was a rather immature way of showing that you were an adult.
Another of the same ilk is peircings.  The 60 year-old neighbor who got his ears peirced just because it was the IN thing to do, is, IMHO, a spineless idiot.

Since Mom is paying you could get an "m" on each "lower" cheek. when you bend over it would say MOM then you could flip over and say WOW.

JP, that tat is on Sharon's calf, nothing below it but her feet!!!  You are a brat!!!!  We all know what you are thinkin'.....

Sharon, I have to agree here on many aspects.  That is one beautiful tattoo, I kid you not!!!  And I would l love to have been able to see it better.  Maybe you had planned to keep us in a mystery-mode, hee, hee.  I think that you need some coaxing here on how to make the image bigger, on in a thumbnail format so it can be clicked on to enlarge.  If you want, PM me and I will teach you how to make larger images.  You've seen my images right?  They are in a format under 100 kb that can be seen very easily, which I have brought into ImageShack.  I think you are using Imageshack too, but are uploading in a very tiny size, I will help you out, if you want, you need only ask.  I have seen other pics of yours that are too small to really see.  You see, you pictures are important, I remember not seeing them very well before.  Not being critical, I just want to see what you are doing!!!  hee, hee, and smiling that big smile.....have a most wonderful and awesome day and life, Cindi

PS, my youngest Daughter had a tattoo a couple of months ago, on her lower back of a beautiful horse, she had taken a picture of a horse to the artist and he drew it from the picture, he has amazing talent, I wish that I had a picture of her tattoo, ooh, maybe she would let me take a picture of it, hee, hee.

Are you talking about the same picture? That doesn't look like a calf to me, a lower back maybe. Perhaps one of us needs an anatomy class?
