kids make Christmas special.  last year i wasn't going to put up a tree or do the decorations.  didn't think anyone would be around and it's such a bother to put the stuff up and take it all down.

then my youngest called and said he was coming home.  soon after, the grandkids called and said they were coming up!  out came all the stuff and a big rush to find a tree, decorate, and get ready for everyone.

of course my husband was a great help.  he is an expert at getting the tree straight.  he sits on the couch and tells me exactly how far i have to move the thing before it is right.  then he makes rude comments while i'm crawling under the tree to make sure it's secured properly.  don't know how i'd do Christmas without him!   evil
