John,

Yup! Sure do! It's cool how folks from all over can come together under one strong interest. Although I can't help but feel a little jealous of those that have several or more beeks in their general area or local clubs, there is just ONE beek actually near me.

Hey, you and your sister look like your having a kick back day, and yes, she's a pretty lady.

John, there is nothing wrong with you today, yesterday, nor tomorrow.  You are one fine dude, I have said this before and I will say it again.  In my experiences in life, there are not an awful lot of people that are as down-to-earth, and honestly will show their emotions and say the wonderful things that you do, without holding back.  You speak your mind, you tell us your innermost feelings, this has shone through ever since you first joined in your forum family -- I love that part of you, and you need to be told this -- you are a very special man, JohnnyBigFish!!!  My intention is to not make you blush, dude, but I can imagine your face turning the most reddest hue imaginable under the sun  cheesy cool grin Wink Smiley Smiley Smiley  Have the most wonderful and awesome day, Cindi

LOL, John, did you write that about the picture of your sister or about yourself? If you wrote that about the picture of your beautiful sister then don't let her see that....

I just get funny thoughts that pop into my head all the time and only let the ones out that are about people who I think can take it with the laugh that I mean for it to cause!! tongue  My friends do that to me all that time (maybe because i do it more!).

Guys are handsome, girls are pretty.  Men are Macho, women are feminine.
I would never describe Male I like as pretty, those I dislike however....

Hey rick! Thats funny! My son asked me once,"Hey John, hows my hair look?" I did a Brian on him!..I said, "Geez man!...Dont EVER ask another guy how your hair looks! THATS what GIRLS ask guys and each other!"
This is what I learned recently......
Pictures and music are "Memory Machines"..So are smells and weather situations too! I mean, for me, I dont really seem to remember alot of stuff from when I was little or younger even. But, I can hear a song, and it sends me back to happy times..Or, sometimes it sends me back to times I wasted. I suppose thats why people try to save pictures when their house is on fire. Its like, well,...you ever try to see someones face in your memory but you just cant? I mean, you can, but not really. Pictures seem to keep your memory and feelings working....Oh well,...there i go, trippin' out again!!

john

I find that smells are amazing!  Such a little sense that we take so for granted.  But every once in a while I'll get a whiff of something, even something unpleasant, and it will take me away to a wonderful time.  The smell of a musty garage, and I'm running up into my grandma's house through their garage after a 12 hour road trip.  Smells of rotting fish and gasoline and I'm out fishing with my dad again, and the smell of carpet padding and I'm sleeping in my uncle's van on the way home from that fishing trip.  Smells of a musty camper.  I even like a whiff of skunk, reminds me of riding in the car as a kid.

There was a little NPR segment a while back about smells.  The lady narrating said she loved the smell of skunk, because she remembers smelling it when she was little and her mother commented on how she liked it, and that identified it to her as a good smell.  Weird.

Ok, that doesn't really have anything to do with your FINE sister, but you mentioned smells....

Have a great day! Rick

So what happens if you can't smell.  Neither my nose nor my sense of smell work anymore due to tramatic head injuries.
The Nice thing I can say about it is: "No Body Offends Me!"

BTW Johnny, were you one of those boys who used to say "Gross" when somebody mentioned they found your sister HOT!

Not when I was young, I didn't get a sister until I was in my 40's when my parents adapted a female cousin of mine.  So by the time I had a sister I already had a wife and 2 daughters so had long lost interest in "door diving."
Now I have an adopted sister and a brother who claims he's really a girl but didn't proclaim that bit of news until both my parents had passed on.   Does that count as 1.5 sisters?

Wow, and I'm sorry for you for that!  That was another NPR story I heard, about a lady who lost her sense of smell, and what she had to go through losing it and also regaining it.

A little sense taken so for granted, and it is almost soley for pleasure(eating, smelling) we can live without it but it is really nice to have.  Its good that I have it, my sense of smell tells me to when to take a shower, although usually a while after my wife tells me... grin

I make sure that I balance out the NPR listening with FOX News so that I don't go mad...er I mean liberal grin
