I saw this on the Louisiana sportsmen forums it got me thinking what do all of you think?

Keith

Just a Little Info.
Think about it

This election has me very worried; so many things to consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking, "Where did the money come from for Obama"? I have four daughters, who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental; he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. "Barry" (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan. During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a "round the world" trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's

family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was

already living in New York.

By "chance" he met Antoin "Tony" Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named "Entrepreneur of the Decade" by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association". About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law

School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented "Rezar" which Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was

instrumental in providing Obama with "seed money" for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was "sacked" after the press found out he was having regular contacts with "Hamas", which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will "Take care of things".

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those "small" Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on "This Week" with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, "My Muslim faith". When questioned, "he make a mistake". Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it - Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times - Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times - September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information on my own, Why haven't all of our "intelligent" members of the press been reporting this?

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - "Beware of the enemy from within"!!!

jerrymac, you chose two rabidly left wing sites to make what could have been a valid point.

the real question is:  why has the press not done the usual in depth background checks on obama.  they have not.  there are many, many, unanswered questions about his back round.  much of what is reported comes from him and his handlers.  some of the stories about him may be untrue, but the only "evidence" we have comes from his side.  where is the curious media that digs into the past, private and public, of all (conservative) candidates??

you can not put a question to rest until you have exhausted the investigation.

I just grabbed something and posted it. I know nothing about any of that. Just trying to make a point that anybody can say anything about anybody.

I do have one question how ever. There are many religions in this world. Many in this country. The first amendment protects our right to those various religions. The question is, do we limit the qualifications of a president by his/her religious choice? Or the lack there of?

There a lot there to digest.
I do "Snopes" and find that alot of the stories about obama are fabricated lies. I do know that the flag saluting ( or not saluting I should say) is a lie...Dont get me wrong. Like I said before in a prior thread, I back McCain......My wife is an Obama delegate. I was "Born Again" almost 30 years ago...Janelle decided she was an atheist about 5 years ago...But, she's the one who got me started  looking into these stories. Now, I am constantly looking at Snopes for subjects that i get in the email...People send this crappy email about all sorts of things and they believe it, just because it says its true.( Well, I didnt look at the Cell fone popcorn popper.I WANTED that to be true...And, a story like that wasnt hurting anybody. But it sure played ME for a sucker!)
Anyways,....Those are all good questions which you posed about Obama. I'd be interested to get the low-down on what was going on with him about all that, but the subject matter now bores me.
I'll cast my vote, walk away, and let the political avenue run its course.
Oh yeh,.....You guys wanna come over for supper( and drinks, cuz you'll need them) and discuss politics and religion with my wife?....Nawwww, I didnt think so......But you can come over and talk bees and fishin' with me if you want!

no, but we base our decisions on available info.  unfortunately, most people turn to the media for that info.  the media has failed to provide backround info on obama and his associations.  the info we have been given, has come from other sources.

obama attended a "christian" church.  that church preached hate and a point of view that most Americans find repugnant.  that is not necessarily a reflection of his beliefs, but it certainly brings up questions of his judgment and associations.  if obama said he were a muslim, you would expect info on what his mosque taught. you would have to factor in what we know about the teachings of islam.

add that to his known choices of friends and mentors and you either get a picture of someone with an anti-american belief system, or someone who has made very poor choices in his friendships.

this might lead you to wonder what an obama cabinet would look like?  who would he choose as his advisers?  all we have to go on, is what little we know of his past record.  we have no reason to believe he would make better or more palatable choices.

My bet is George Soros for Secretary of State, Jessie Jackson for Defense Secretary, Al Sharpton for Attorney General (There is no requirement for the AG to be an attorney) and more of the ilk.  The only saving grace I see is Mom's Mobley for HUD Secretary.

I revised that a little to read "protects our right" not "gives us the right". Misspoke  shocked not like anybody ever does that.

I find it amazing, as well as unbelievable, that there are so many perfect people that never do anything wrong, and all their friends are perfect also. That is so strange to me.

I have known people that do drugs. Doesn't make me a druggy. I have known criminals. Am I therefore a criminal? If I just happen to attend a Catholic Church a couple of times, does that make me a Catholic?

So a man doesn't salute the flag or possibly not even say the pledge of allegiance. Does that make him less patriotic? What if I said I don't do it? The flag is just a symbol. A piece of cloth all painted up and decorated with various colors and shapes to represent different things. I won't live or die for a piece of cloth, but I will for my country.

I don't and won't wear a wedding ring, but there is none more married than I am. I don't care for symbols. (as noted here http://forum.beemaster.com/index.php/topic,3973.0.html )

jerrymac, it is not about perfection.  if you believe that the judgment and stated policies of obama are what you want for this country, then by all means....vote for him.  most people will make their choice based on some undefinable emotional reaction for or against the man.  i prefer to absorb all the info i can and make a fact based choice.  for me, the facts point to a man who shows poor judgment in his friends and mentors (not casual acquaintances) and who states a socialist agenda.  i do not think his planned policies are in the best interest of this county.

I'm just playing devil's advocate. All I really know is someone will say some thing about one of the candidates and it is denied. Then a counter accusation is made and denied. One says they will do such and such or stands for this and that and the other accuses them of something just the opposite. People just pick out the part they want to believe and go with it. In the end, who ever gets into office will forget all their champagne promises. Nothing will be done for the people and every one will be disappointed again.

all that is true.  we can only look at the man and try our best to judge his intentions and character.  in the case of both candidates, we have plenty of info from them to do a pretty good job.

heres a point to ponder. Obama knows some shady people....But as mentioned before, alot of us know some shady people./ In my case, I've known, and still know, people of "Ill Repute"..But....I'm not in a relationship with these people as to where it concerns $$$..I'm friends and aquaintances of these types because it just happens..(HEY!...WAIT a MINIT!!!...I AM one of these types!) oh well...."Birds of a Feather", right? But the difference is that in Obamas case, we're talking about relationships that include lots of money passing hands, not just hanging out and having a beer. I think what we've seen here is "People using people for personal gain", not just making friends.
How'bout that 2 cents worth?

Johnny, that was 2.5 cents!  I just know that I would never run for any office..don't want people looking into my past!  It does come in handy when talking with teens cause I've hung out with some pretty unsavory people & done everything they could think of doing..(well, not crack cause they didn't have it then...) and I can truthfully tell why it isn't a great idea!  Like John, I think there is a difference between acquaintances, business partners & big $$ changing hands...there, that's the other .5 so make it 3!  Hey Johnny, did you get your cam?Huh J

So speaking of $$$.

I remember way back when Bill Clinton couldn't afford his legal fees. Then this year Hillary was taking millions out of her account to repay some things. Did anyone ask where that came from?

If anyone claims to be a Christian and claims to live by the Bible, then they are taught hate. My own Christian family has proved that many times.

I find that presumptuous and insulting, no matter how nicely you say it. I was taught, and teach my children that God loves all people, he just doesn't approve of certain things. What does this have to do with Obama? I think that saying it is OK for Obama to be in a church that preaches hate because christians are all full of hate- well, you are wrong. I don't care if you are a galactic bee Tongue
