I look forward to being a part of the forum. This is my first year in beekeeping. I got started after I met some nice folks from the local beekeeper's assoc. at a fair. My reasons for keeping bees: to better observe the beauties of nature and of God's creation, and, of course, I to satiate my Winnie-the-Pooh-like love of honey. My bees swarmed their's (and my) first year, (this year), but I got them back.

Hi reubenburwell and welcome to the forum, this is a great place to get information and make friends please give your location in you profile so when you ask a question you can get a better answer because bees have different need for different locations.

I like doing cut-outs, but I love catching swarms!

Reuben, welcome to our forum, this will be a place where you can spend some great time, ask questions and make some new friends. Good that you got your bees back after they swarmed, sometimes they go so high that it is nearly impossible to get them. Stick around, here you can tell your stories, tales and experiences. We are all an interested bunch of people, and love to listen. Have the most wonderfully awesome day, Cindi
